LASSA FEVER OUTBREAK IN NASARAWA STATE

 


 There is LASSA fever outbreak in NASARAWA state, and 4 people have been confirmed dead by the commissioner of health in the state, while 16 others are on the watch list.
    Between August 2015 to May 2016, WHO has been notified of 273 cases of LASSA fever, including 149 deaths in Nigeria. 165 cases and 89 deaths have been confirmed through laboratory testing. This cases were reported from 23 states in Nigeria. So let us therefore be watchful of what we eat and also keep our food safe and stay hydrated all the time.
